Preserving the intentions of our founding editors, Dave Madden and Adam Peterson.

Per Dave and Adam:

Sideboards are short prose pieces with two rules. They must have fewer than 500 words in them, and at least two of those words must be cupboard and pamphlet. Anything else goes.

Sideboard Classic offerings will be published monthly online as a Cupboard Pamphlet Special Feature. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Please email the editors at cupboard [at] thecupboardpamphlet [dot] org with any questions.

We look forward to reading your work!

Exploring space and language in a single serving.

The editors of the Cupboard Pamphlet seek prose pieces of fewer than 500 words that deal in examinations of space and language. We are particularly interested in works that investigate space as it relates to the wide-open, to the wayfarer—however those may be constituted. Show us what you can break open; show us what you can embody.

Sideboard New American offerings will be published monthly online as a Cupboard Pamphlet Special Feature. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Please email the editors at cupboard [at] thecupboardpamphlet [dot] org with any questions.

We look forward to reading your work!
